The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) is a partner in the EUROLEGUME project. BOKU is a university that offers engineering degrees, both graduate and postgraduate, in the fields of agriculture, forestry and timber management, civil engineering and water management, food science and biotechnology, and landscape architecture and conservation. BOKU contributes to the project being involved in work packages 2 and 5, focusing on shoot and root phenotyping, plant development under abiotic stress, and influence of rhizobia and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on root architecture and plant development ex situ. Dr. Boris Rewald of the Department of Forest and Soil Sciences and Dr. Gernot Bodner of the Division of Agronomy will set-up and supervise the operation of newly established phenotyping facility at BOKU, located behind the Department of Agrobiotechnology (IFA), Tulln, Austria.
